Length
Abstract is not to exceed 300 words of single-spaced text. Biography should not exceed 100 words of single-spaced text. Feel free to include a URL to another website that contains more extensive biographical material within your biography. Format Copy and paste your abstract and biography into the associated boxes. The only formatting needed, if necessary, is inserting one blank single space line between paragraphs in your abstract. NOTE: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SPELLING AND GRAMMAR Deadline All presenters are to have their abstracts and biographies submitted no later than June 30, 2017. If you cannot make that deadline, please notify the Program co-chair Jason Beverlin (jbeverlin@tnc.org) as soon as possible with an expected date of submission. Conference Proceedings Permission It is the conference policy to assume presenters give their permission for their presentation (or alternate format; see bottom of webpage) to be included unless otherwise indicated by the author(s). |

Poster Session Information
Poster Requirements
- Poster size is limited to 40” x 60”.
- Foam boards will be supplied for you to tack, clip or tape your poster so it cannot exceed the board size of 40” x 60”.
- It is highly recommend that your poster be figure/picture heavy and text light.
- Feel free to supply handouts if you feel it will convey your poster message better by allowing the reader to explore further at a later time.
- Please contact Laura Keefer (lkeefer@illinois.edu) if your poster will be oriented “portrait” or “landscape”.
Poster Session Information
- Session will be held on Tuesday evening, September 12th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. where you will be expected to stand at your poster. This is during the Ice-Breaker reception (6:00-8:30 p.m.), so please feel free to get something to eat prior to your session.
- Posters will not be able to stay for the remainder of the conference so please remove your poster, but do so no earlier than 8:30 p.m. that evening.
Conference Proceedings Submission Instructions
- Conference proceedings will be made available shortly after the conference via the Illinois Rivers Decision Support System webpage. All presentations are made available as a PDF file. It is the conference policy to assume presenters give their permission for their presentation (or alternate format-see below) to be included unless otherwise indicated by the author(s).
- Submitting material from your presentation for inclusion in Conference Proceedings. The Conference Planning Committee is providing three options for presenters:
- Authors can submit a conference paper, not to exceed 10 pages based on your presentation (Preferred by Conference Planning Committee as it provides more detailed information), or
- If you made a
- PowerPoint presentation: The PowerPoint file you submitted for use on the conference laptop will be converted to a PDF file unless provided with an updated replacement file,
- Poster presentation: We ask presenters to provide a PDF file of their poster, or
- Presenters can submit either their original abstract or expanded abstract as a PDF.
